NCB Now: Young people consulted on NHS

Last year, NCB's Voluntary Sector Support programme held a consultation workshop with 18 young people to explore what young people think about the NHS white paper and the associated national consultations.
The group varied in their experiences of the NHS, with some having lots of personal experience due to illness, others from work experience and some via family members that work for the NHS.
The consultation aimed to raise awareness of the white paper, provide a background to the NHS and commissioning processes, and to promote the voices of diverse groups of young people to the Department of Health. A paper Nothing About Us, Without Us? was developed as a result.
